Don’t get me wrong, I loved feeding my baby and being in public didn’t scare me. But let’s be honest, it’s near impossible not to expose a boob while trying to unclip those finicky hooks. Eventually I just started using stretchy bamboo bras from the pharmacy which kind of did the trick. Now almost a year breastfeeding and I haven’t found anything in South Africa that is no fuss and super comfortable…as well as fits with my desire to buy second hand or conscious (but who wants a second hand bra).
So I lovingly designed the myboombra for myself, my sisters and mothers who I’ve met along the way with the same challenges.
Created at each free moment on the loo, while my son sleeps, when my mother in law is helping to care for him and in the early hours of the morning after I’ve been woken up to feed and can’t fall back to sleep.
I hope you enjoy the care that went into this bra and that you feel seen, understood and nourished while wearing it.
